We employ a comprehensive Integrated Landscape Management (ILM) approach, bringing together diverse stakeholders, including public and private sector actors, local communities, and civil society organizations to foster collective action and shared solutions.


The plan promotes sustainable production practices, particularly for high-value crops like tea and coffee, to enhance climate resilience, productivity, and economic returns.


This pillar integrates sustainable agricultural practices and natural resource management to address climate-related challenges, including the adoption of regenerative and Climate-Smart Agriculture techniques


A primary objective of the SLDMP is to enhance and preserve Mt. Kenya Landscape forest and tree cover by growing 5.8 million trees by 2029.

The Mount Kenya region, a vital water tower and ecological stronghold, faces urgent threats from climate change, deforestation, and unsustainable land use. The Mount Kenya Landscape Management Board (LMB) is addressing these critical challenges through a collaborative, holistic approach.
